Selena Gomez Debuts ‘Love You Like a Love Song’ on ‘GMA’ (VIDEO)
Forget Bieber Fever, this summer is all about Selena-Mania!
Selena Gomez hit a big career milestone on Friday morning when she performed for the first time on Good Morning America‘s Central Park Summer Concert Series for throngs of screaming tween fans. The former Disney star performed hits like “Naturally” and “Who Says” and she also debuted her new song, “Love You Like a Love Song.”
Wearing a pink tank top and skin-tight jeans, Selena belted out the soulful new track, which is about a girl who is head-over-heels for her new boyfriend. (Hm, sound familiar, Justin Bieber?) Selena also sat down with the GMA hosts to talk about her relationship with the BIebs and her new song with Britney Spears.
“I didn’t know that she [co-wrote the song],” Selena explained about the new song, “Whisper.” “I heard the song and fell in love with it and thought it was really fun and catchy and then I saw in the studio that it was co-written by Britney Spears I almost had a heart attack. It is an honor and I’m very excited for people to hear it.”
SelGo also revealed that she is planning a Britney tribute for her upcoming summer tour.

As for the likelihood of her recording a song with boyfriend Justin Bieber, Selena played it coy: “I’m not sure. If it happens it happens.” Selena may be wary to perform a duet with her boyfriend since similar situations didn’t really work out for her friends: Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas recorded a song together while they were dating in 2010 and then broke up shortly thereafter. Maybe it would be best if Selena avoided recording with Justin!
