Rabah Saadane close to Yemen return
Former Algeria coach, Rabah Saadane
Algeria World Cup coach, Rabah Saadane, is set to return to the helm of the national team of Yemen, according to reports.
Saadane, who was fired in September after Algeria failed to beat visiting Tanzania in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, is reported to be in talks with the Yemen Football Association (YFA) as a replacement for the Croat Srecko Juricic.
Juricic was sacked after poor results during the recent Gulf Cup hosted by Yemen. They finished bottom of their first round group that included Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar after they lost all three matches and managed only a goal against Qatar.
The 64-year-old Saadane first handled the Yemen in 2004 for 16 months. He has also worked in Tunisia and Morocco.
Yemen, according to the newspaper Al-Bayane, are proposing the experienced Algerian coach a monthly salary of $20,000 and he will be allowed to come along with his two assistants, Zoheir Djelloul and goalkeeper trainer Hassan Belhadji.
