Jason Momoa might look capable of taking down a village, but the actor told OnTheRedCarpet.com that he was most afraid of was the on-set horses.

"Horses are dumb and they're very agitated on-set and we had some problems," Momoa told OnTheRedCarpet.com co-host Chris Balish at the film's Hollywood premiere. "No, they're very beautiful animals. I just don't like things that are in control when I'm not in control. When you're on an animal that goes very fast and doesn't know what it's doing sometimes, you get hurt. I personally like living, I love my children, I love my wife, so anything that comes in between that is a problem."

In "Conan the Barbarian," which is a remake of the 1982 Arnold Schwarzenegger fantasy film, muscle-bound warrior Conan the Cimmerian (Momoa) seeks to avenge his father's murder and the slaughtering of his entire village.

The film also stars Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang and Ron Perlman.

Momoa is best known for his role as Ronon Dex in the science fiction series "Stargate: Atlantas." He has also appeared on HBO's "Game of Thrones" as Khal Drogo.

The 32-year-old actor married former "Cosby Show" actress Lisa Bonet in 2007. The couple has two children - daughter Lola Iolani Moma who was born and son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa. In 2008, Mamoa survived an attack with a broken beer glass in Hollywood, which required 140 stitches in his face.
