I-40 Interchange at Robertson Rd. (Phase II)

Project Description

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) logo This project stems from an Interchange Modification Study that was completed on April, 1996.  The purpose of the study and the purpose of the project were to accommodate direct freeway-to-expressway movements between I-40 and Briley Parkway (SR 155).  Briley Parkway is a four-lane median-divided access-controlled roadway which will serve as an additional northern loop around Nashville once the remaining phase is complete.  The proposed modification will segregate the local traffic from the Briley Parkway through traffic by providing direct ramp connections between I-40 and Briley Parkway. Aerial view of I-40 Interchange @ Robertson Rd.

Phase Two of the I-40 interchange project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  The project was awarded to Bell & Associates for $32,087,874.10 in June 2009.  Estimated completion date is 8/15/2011.
