Steven Kasher Gallery specializes in fine art photography, contemporary and vintage. The gallery works with important photographers and major photographic archives such as the National Geographic Society, The New York Times, the Andy Warhol Foundation and Magnum. Under the imprint SteidlKasher we have published books on Mike Disfarmer, Chauncey Hare, Andy Warhol and others. Founded in 1995, we've been a member of AIPAD since 2000.

Steven Kasher Gallery is expert in selling and appraising large and important photographic archives. We have been instrumental in selling numerous archives in part or in whole such as Magnum, The New York Times, Culver Pictures, Black Star, Sovfoto and more.

Steven Kasher Gallery is pleased to present Laura Levine: Musicians, an insider's look at the artists at the forefront of rock, punk, indie rock, post-punk, hip-hop, New Wave, and No Wave. This is the first one-person gallery exhibition featuring Levine's photography, including her vintage gelatin silver prints - many one of a kind. The show will feature over 35 vintage and modern prints, and is being presented with our exhibition Rude and Reckless: Punk/Post-Punk Graphics, 1976-82.

Rude and Reckless: Punk/Post-Punk Graphics, 1976-82 is the first New York exhibition surveying the extraordinary diversity of Punk and Post-Punk graphic design. The exhibition showcases a wide range of American and British artistry, with influences that include the Bauhaus, Futurism, Dadaism, Pop Art, Constructivism and Expressionism. The exhibition features over 200 rare posters, along with fanzines, flyers, clothing, badges and stickers.
