Sony is Preparing a 3D Mode for the PlayStation 3

by Skipper on February 23, 2011

Sony Corp. plans to introduce a new 3D mode to its original console, the PlayStation 3, allowing two gamers to play against each other on the same screen HDTV. Moreover, when using this mode, whose demonstration was not so long ago in London, the opposing gamers use the whole TV screen, not the half of it, as is commonly practiced.

Note that this system is very important to the user’s location relative to the screen, and to play with her need to sit closer to the side of the screen. At the same time, the user sitting directly in front of a screen, can watch the game from both sides. Effectiveness of such a 3D mode was demonstrated by the senior manager of SCEE Hawking Mick (Mick Hocking) as an example a recent game Killzone 3, which forces us to assume the support of this technology. However, when it  will be available to consumers, is not reported.
