  • "Level Off" Aural Alert
  • Change to Descend RA's at Low Altitude

Change 7.1 also addresses these performance issues identified with TCAS Change 7.0:

  • SA01: Failure of TCAS to Reverse some RAs when a Reversal is Required to Resolve the Collision.
  • SA-AVSA: Frequent Instances of Flight Crews' Unintentional Incorrect Maneuvers to "Adjust Vertical Speed" RAs.

European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Mandate Plan:

"EASA plans to mandate carriage of Version 7.1:
The results of the mentioned study indicate that implementation of TCAS II version 7.1 in the aircraft fleets is urgently required. Following this meeting EASA undertook to publish an action plan for the implementation of TCAS II version 7.1."
