Wavering loyalties in Libya as fight for Sirte continues

Dozens of families are fleeing Colonel Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte, as fighters loyal to the country's interim council prepare to launch fresh assaults to finally capture the town.

The rapid progress, and dramatic change after many decades of dictatorship is proving a challenge to the people, and those now leading the country.

Alastair Leithead is with the forces on the road to Sirte.
