Kuala Lumpur Design Week: Prof. Dr. Peter Zec on the economic importance of design

Already for years, the Kuala Lumpur Design Week (KLDW) ranks among Malaysia’s most important series of events for the creative sector. Every year, students, up-and-coming talents and designers from all over the world come together, to socialise and to swap ideas on the latest trends in design. red dot hosts workshop "Design as a value generator" at the Designhuis Eindhoven

“Design at the border – red dot awarded design from Germany and the Netherlands” illustrates in an impressive and unusual way the differences of Dutch and German designs. The exhibition shows, where they are complementary and how both countries can learn from each other, in order to go new ways together in the future.

On 21 September 2011, along with this joint project, red dot organised together with Design Cooperation Brainport Eindhoven a design & business workshop with the topic “Design as a value generator” at the Designhuis Eindhoven. More »

Highest distinction for all-rounders from Greece: Beetroot receives the title "red dot: agency of the year 2011"!

Those who submit their logos, advertising and PR campaigns to the “red dot award: communication design” know that they give their works in the hands of a jury that demands the highest standards of originality and substance. It is all the more striking, if a certain team participates over the years principally successful in this competition. The best agency in 2011 has achieved such a great success. Border crossers: red dot awarded design from Germany and the Netherlands at the Designhuis Eindhoven

From 8 September to 9 October 2011, the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen presents the best Dutch products, but also confronts them with German works in an unusual way. There is one thing they have in common: All of them convinced the jury of the red dot design award. With its contemporary counterpoints, the exhibition picks up supposedly clichés of typical German and typical Dutch living environments in a novel way. More »
