Friday, March 21st, 2003

— Guy Livingston and Marni Rice present an evening of George Antheil’s jazz music and songs from the streets of Paris. Featuring music of Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, and the world premiere of Antheil’s song Just One Moment Annabelle!
Also the Jazz Sonata and Sonata V.

— Screening of the 1927 Ballet mécanique film by Fernand Léger, reconstructed by Paul Lehrman, with music by George Antheil.
— Guy Livingston performs the Fifth Sonata and Sonate Sauvage of George Antheil. Yamaha S4 Piano provided by Yamaha Artist Services, New York City.

10pm Focus Dance Party presented by Vertigo Productions (Conduit Nightclub)
— Techno and house music mixed by guest DJs. Special remixes of George Antheil’s classic Ballet mécanique. Plus silent films of the 1920s. Admission $10.

Costs:
All events are free and open to the public, with the exception of a $10 cover charge for the Status Dance Party on Saturday night.
