Countdown Calendars Book

Thursday October 6, 2011
This Countdown Calendars book might be my most favorite craft book to date! I enjoy making a variety of calendars and I enjoy sewing, and this book (compare prices) combines both of those hobbies together.

What I like best is that it offers a variety of calendar ideas; after all, how many Christmas countdown calendars does one person need? While it does give you several options for Christmas time, it also shares patterns for making countdown calendars for Halloween, Valentine's Day, and even Father's Day. It also goes a step further and provides you inspiration for making calendars to help you cont down to a wedding, a vacation, and much more... Read My Entire Review

Crafty Science

Wednesday October 5, 2011
Try some of these crafty science projects. With some of these projects, it is obvious what sort of science concepts they teach; but, with others, there are small science lessons hidden in many crafts where you wouldn't expect them, like when you experiment with different clay recipes or try your hand at tie-dye crafts. While doing many craft projects, you can get your child's mind working overtime simply by asking them simple questions about the process and also let them ask questions.
