Mission
The
mission of Georgetown University's Center for the Brain Basis of Cognition
(CBBC) is to promote basic research and training at the intersection
of cognition and neuroscience, with an interest in applying this research
to clinical and educational contexts. The CBBC brings together the complementary
strengths of the Main Campus and the Medical Center in the study of
mind and brain, with the goal of enhancing collaboration across the
campuses and between the diverse disciplines that examine the neural
basis of cognition. The Center is focusing initially on two areas of
strength at Georgetown, language and lifespan cognitive development.
