The Fleets

Corry & Co.

Formed 1826 by Robert Corry to import timber from Canada to Northern Ireland. Sailings to Calcutta started in 1859 and the company relocated from Belfast to London. A service to Australia and New Zealand commenced in 1888. In 1903 trading to South America commenced and a joint emigrant service to Australia with Royden and Tyser Lines started in 1912. The company became a constituent part of the Commonwealth & Dominion Line in 1914, which was later renamed Port Line.

  • 1859-1898 Belfast / London - Calcutta via the Cape.
  • 1888-1898 London - Australia via the Cape.

  • 1887-1889 London - Calcutta via the Cape.
  • 1889-1914 London - Cape - New Zealand - Australia
  • 1903-1914 London - South America.
