Carol's Good Earth Farm

Good for the Earth, Good for the Soul..

LisianthusCarol's Good Earth is a specialty cut flower and heirloom vegetable transplant farm located in Liberty, North Carolina. We believe strongly in local agricultural systems; our farm is a work in progress toward small farm sustainability.

Our signature products are specialty cut flowers- many that don't ship well and won't be available from retail outlets that rely exclusively on imported products. We differ even from other local producers in that our flowers, vegetable and herb plants are grown 100% naturally - no synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers are used on the farm.

Buff Brahma Bantams
All types of organic or sustainable farming present unique challenges for the small grower, and raising beautiful cut flowers with no synthetic inputs is no exception. We feel that the rewards - at farm, local, regional and even global levels - are well worth the effort. Left, our Buff Brahma Bantams live in a portable "chicken tractor" - a moveable chicken coop - that allows us to rotate them to various fields where they can eat insects, cultivate and add fertility to the soil. This also makes for some happy chickens!
We sell through select local florists and also enjoy the opportunity to sell at several area farmers' markets.  The quality of product found at these markets is superb, and you will find that an extremely gratifying connection is made from getting to know the farmer that has grown your food (or flowers!). We will also be happy to provide seasonally available flowers for your special event, and wholesale enquiries are welcome.
