Want  PDPs?
You can earn them at NEC. Our certificate program is approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education to award professional development points (PDPs) for teachers. As a result, you’ll truly deepen your relationship with your field. NEC's SCE offers superb faculty and a broad range of study at a world-renowned conservatory. Why not make the most of your professional development?
(Music teachers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Education System are required to earn 150 PDPs every 5 years in order to renew their music teacher's license. Eighty percent of the 150 PDPs toward re-certification need to be in the field of music. See the Re-certification Guidelines for Massachusetts Educators for details.)
Any class that meets for a minimum of 10 contact hours is eligible for PDPs, which means just about all of our classes are eligible. Explore the possibilities through the classes menu!
