Contender Biographies - Abdul Qadir Imami Ghori's Biography
 

Mawlana Abdul Qadir Imami Ghori was born in 1954 in Ghor province.

In 1975, he completed his education from the Imam Abu Hanifa seminary of Kabul and got degree from the Sharia Department of Kabul University in 2006.

He got his master degree from Peshawar University in Islamic Economics and Islamic Studies. He served as deputy minister for Haj, Auqaf and martyrs and disabled from 1992 till 1996.

He served as deputy minister for Trabal and Borders from 2001 till 2004.

He is leader of the Afghanistan Peace and National Unity Party and representative of the people of Ghor in the Wolesi Jirga.

He also participated in the Bonn Conference in 2001.

He has written several books on the solution to Afghan problem and religious issues.
