Employee Suggestion Program (SHINE)

Our employee suggestion program, SHINE, provides a formal system for encouraging, soliciting, and rewarding employees for their innovative ideas that result in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of County operations.

Program Eligibility

All regular full-time and part-time employees are encouraged to submit ideas on ways to improve services, increase efficiency, save money, enhance safety or improve morale.

How to Submit a SHINE Suggestion

You may submit your ideas individually or as part of a team. Your suggestion may be concerned with an improvement within your activity or entirely outside your present job. If your idea is adopted, you will receive a cash award in proportion to the benefits idea. For more information on SHINE, contact the Idea Specialist in your Division or call the Suggestion Office at 534-6034.
