BBC World News and BBC Arabic launch on one of the first aircraft with Global Live Television

BBC World News and BBC Arabic television are to launch as part of Gulf Air's 'Sky Hub' in-flight entertainment service. 'Sky Hub' uses Panasonic Avionics Corporations Global Communications Suite to offer passengers a comprehensive communications and entertainment solution which includes full broadband connectivity to access internet, mobile phone services and, for the first time in the world across global routes, live television service on-board.

Horizons looks at Health Technology and Personalised Medicine in the UK

On Friday 14 October, the BBC World News Horizons series continues with an episode looking at the development of health technologies and personalised medicine in the UK. This second episode in the series looks at how the increasing ageing global population is putting additional stress on healthcare, and the race to develop a new generation of personalised medicine.
