Perennial Plants
Long-lived perennial plants are the backbone of the flower garden, with some quickly providing texture and color to the early spring garden, while others burst into show in the heat of summer to be followed by the harmonious addition of late summer and fall blooming specimens. We are careful to provide premier choices in both tender perennials, which need loving protection in the colder zones, and hardy perennials, which will withstand even the coldest of winters. Our rare perennial plants have been carefully selected to offer you with the most unusual forms of flower and leaf. Here at Heronswood, we are especially keen on rare Hellebores, Arisaema, Geranium, Fuchsia and Primula. Most are of rare providence, yet all have been exhaustingly garden-tested in several hardiness zones to ensure their virtuoso performances.
