Life in Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte
Loyalist fighters are still holding out in Colonel Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte.
The fighting is concentrated on one neighbourhood, known as "district number two", where snipers have in recent days inflicted heavy losses on anti-Gaddafi forces.
Meanwhile the rest of Sirte, once favoured and prosperous, has been turned into a ghost town. Most residents have fled to safety.
But not all, as Gabriel Gatehouse reports from Sirte.
