(CBS/WOIO) CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating an alleged sexual assault incident that occured Saturday at the "Occupy Cleveland" rally involving a 19-year-old female student.

According to police reports, the 19-year-old student was instructed by "Occupy Cleveland" personnel to "share a tent with the suspect due to a shortage of tents."

The suspect identified himself as "Leland" to the woman. The woman told police that after she thought the suspect went to sleep in his own bed, she slept in a sleeping bag provided to her by the rally, reports CBS station WOIO.

The student then went to school Monday and told a teacher about her sexual assault incident, which is now being classified as a "kidnapping/rape." This prompted the teacher to immediately contact the authorities.

"Occupy Cleveland" is one of many movements taking place nationwide in the wake of "Occupy Wall Street," which is protesting against corporate greed.

If you decide that you need to participate in this stupidity, and your brain is no bigger than a turkey's brain, then you deserve what you get. Come to think of it, why would you sleep in a sleeping bag made by a corporation, in a tent made by a corporation? Aren't you afraid that their deceitfulness will rub off on you? By the way, you are protesting the wrong people - protest Obama

You can expect to see a lot more stories like this one. The top 1% have the resources and the moral inclination to do anything to keep the flow of money moving from the working class to the aristocracy. Lets face it, there must be thousands upon thousands of people out there who would sell their souls for the kind of money that the top 1% consider pocket change. We know, for a fact, there are a lot of republican politicians who would... did.

goplies - What does your post have to do with a 19 year old girl being raped at a protest? Did some wealthy guy send a man to rape this girl? Of course not. Save your garbage for an appropriate article if you can contain yourself.

Actually, NO, it does NOT make any sense. Sounds as though they "movement" wasn't getting as much attention as she though it should, therefore, a rape accusation against someone.

Why did she choose to sleep in a tent with a stranger rather than go home?

It is quite obvious that the Lack of Accountability Culture have never been known for their smarts. Thus the continual failure and blaming of others. Accept the facts and come to a sense of reason. It is very easy to do if you try.

Typical Lack of Accountability Culture to blame others first. How pathetic.

Let me ask you this, einstein:

You're a broad who goes to a protest and gets raped on Saturday night, ok?

You're so upset you do diddly squat about it later that night and all through the next day.

Then, the day after that, you "talk to a prof" about it.

Now, does that REALLY make sense to you?

What the article doesn't mention is that the school she attends is for the mentally challenged. That information makes the rest of the article make sense.

The thing I'm seeing with the "leaderless rule" is that no one can be held responsible for the poor decisions of individuals or the majority. This takes the old "blame society" mantra, and puts them in charge--this time, without any kind of accountability.

An adult woman sleeps in a small tent with an unknown male and says she was raped. Where did this whole thing sound a little fishy.

Yeah... exactly. And how can you get raped in "tent city" without anybody else knowing about it. And who would sleep in a sleeping bag that wasn't their own, in the first place? This story doesn't make a lot of sense.

You and your "lack of acountbility culture" crap is about tired to say the least.

Just because some braod claims a rape happened doesn't make it so twit, especally when she doesn't report it until a couple of days afterward and not even then to the authorities.....

Look at the DSK scam and that dufus Heidi whatever weathergirl.

All crap.

I don't know why it should be necessary to have co-ed sleepovers in order to protest something.

I wonder how many more have been sexually assaulted but not reported. These idiots don't know how to protest like civilized people. You go protest and then go home and come back the next day. You don't camp out like a bunch of hobos or bums night after night and make a nuisance of yourself.
I wonder what other crimes are happening in these makeshift hippie wannabe communes.
Thieving has got to be rampant.
