Close the Winter Sports boxThe riding has dramatically improved across all of the open resorts we feature in Europe. Fresh snow has fallen on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th October, making the ski areas look a lot whiter than of late. This is perfectly timed for Les Deux Alpes in France which is scheduled to reopen for snowsports on Saturday 22nd October.
In New Zealand both of the North Island resorts, Turoa and Whakapapa, have received fresh snow this week and are hosting events this coming weekend. This is a great time to hit the slopes and enjoy some spring riding.
The glacier at Timberline in America is open for weekend skiing and boarding. They will be closed through the week. Although they normally open on Friday, this week you will only be able to ski on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October.
All our featured resorts in Australia, Canada, Argentina and Chile are closed for the season.
