The annual ACM SIGKDD conference is the premier international forum for data mining researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to share their ideas, research results and experiences. KDD-2010 will feature keynote presentations, oral paper presentations, poster sessions, workshops, tutorials, panels, exhibits, demonstrations, and the KDD Cup competition. KDD-2010 will run between from July 25-28 in Washington, DC and will feature hundreds of practitioners and academic data miners converging on the one location.

- July 27, 2010 - KDD-2010 Opening Remarks Presentation is now available and includes numbers on paper accept rates, countries of origin, and number of attendees!
- July 19, 2010 - Microsoft Corporation announces that it will be hosting Old Trolley Tours: Monuments by Moonlight tour!
Join Microsoft for a guided tour of Washington DC on an Old Town Trolley Tour on Monday night at 8pm. You must sign up in advance at the Microsoft booth in the exhibit hall on Sunday or Monday to get a ticket to join us. Seats are limited to the first 100 people and you will need a ticket to board the trolley. Food and drinks are allowed but are not being provided.

- July 13, 2010 - KDD-2010 social networking is live and growing. Build your own personalized conference schedule, see more detailed information about each talk (some authors have posted videos and other multi-media), and exchange comments with the authors and other conference attendees.... Try it out - its a lot of fun! You can upload your personalized schedule into your favorite mail program such as Outlook.
- July 12, 2010 - Data Mining Case Studies Invited Industrial Speakers finalized! Former KDD Conference General Chairs John Elder, R. Bharat Rao, Foster Provos, Francoise Fogelman-Soulie are amongst an outstanding line-up of data mining practitioners who will be discussing fascinating applications ranging from medical data mining in which hundreds of lives have been saved, to aircraft pre-emptive data mining, and ad targeting.
