Festival International de Louisiane is an annual event that takes place in Lafayette, Louisiana. Celebrating the roots that tie the Francophone world together, as well as other cultures who have influenced the traditions of Louisiana, Festival International presents a hugely diverse array of music on six stages over five days. In 2009, Festival International performers included Dobet Gnahore, Rachid Taha, Rupa and the April Fishes, Dengue Fever, Genticorum, the Crocodile Gumboot Dancers, and dozens more. It was a thrilling event, and I've got the pictures to prove it!
