Saadi Gaddafi “outraged” by killing of his father

Muammar Gaddafi’s son Saadi is “shocked and outraged by the vicious brutality” shown towards his father and brother Mo’tassim and said it showed no one connected to the former government would receive a fair trial in Libya, Saadi’s lawyer said yesterday.

“Saadi Gaddafi is shocked and outraged by the vicious brutality which accompanied the murders of his father and brother. The contradictory statements issued by the NTC excusing these barbaric executions and the grotesque abuse of the corpses make it clear that no person affiliated with the former regime will receive a fair trial in Libya, nor will they receive justice for crimes committed against them,” lawyer Nick Kaufman said in an email sent to Reuters.

Saadi is currently in Niger after escaping across the bord

If only it were that easy, MishMash.
I fear with Saif and al-Senussi in the region, combined with the support that Muammar Gaddafi enjoyed among at least some of the tribes of Niger, that it will become the staging ground for an insurgency against the people of Libya and the TNC.
Saif and Saadi might be evil, but they are NOT stupid. They know that no matter how many times Muammar Gaddafi called for his “millions” of supporters to rise up and defend him, that support never appeared. They will also know that no matter how many bombs NATO dropped, it would be impossible for the TNC to control the cities without the support of most of the citizens living within them.
Those facts combined with the bloodlust that they were taught by their father, will make their need for revenge a nearly physical thing. Libya can go on, be re-born and become a better place, but as long as those two are alive it won’t truly be safe

Mr. Nick Kaufman, as a lawyer, should be committed to comply with the code of conducts of the profession, when talking about “fair trial” for criminals as the case of the unique Gaddafi clan. Where have you been, when vicious brutality and crimes committed against the libyans by Gaddafi family over the last 42 years?
Have you been contracted -Mr. Kaufman- to represent Gaddafi case?!
This family and the paid criminals deserve no fairness. Only Libyan justice must be applied.

Isn’t just too bad that Saadi Gaddafi doesn’t like what happened to his father and brother? He has some audacity whining about the brutality shown to them and complaining about crimes committed against them. What about the brutality shown to the Libyan people during the 41 years, 51 weeks and 4 days the regime lasted? What about the thousands of people that were arrested at the start of the protests in February, and have simply vanished off of the face of the Earth? Were they treated brutally? Did they receive justice for the crimes committed against them? What about the thousands of political dissidents that were arrested and murdered by his father’s regime before the revolution began, were they treated fairly?
Muammar Gaddafi said that he would see every drop of blood in Libya spilled before he gave up power. He called on his supporters to rise up and turn the country into another Somalia. He said to, “let Libya burn.” He and Saif both said that the Gaddafis would NEVER relinquish power.
Well, for this American, there is only one complaint. A bullet to the head is quick, and far too merciful an end for the crimes that Muammar Gaddafi, his family, friends, and political allies have perpetrated against the people of Libya and the rest of the world during the last 4 decades.
My advice to Saadi Gaddafi would be to shut up while he is behind.
My advice to the TNC would be to extend an invitation to any Gaddafi family members that are unhappy with the treatment, death, or displayal of their family member’s bodies, to come out of hiding and head to either Tripoli or Benghazi, and file a formal complaint with the police and/or army.

Well said Swieny. Or alternatively, he can donate from his ‘s hidden billion to the thousands of people and families that his father destroyed s. He can start a new chapter in his life instead of continuing the evil one that his father handed to him. I dont hold much hope for that. At lease we can take comfort in seeing him spend the rest of his life in a sand swept, infernally hot, disease-ridden, fly infested mud hotel in Niger.
