Chilli & Tamari Chicken

Need a quick, satisfying snack? Look no further than my grilled Chilli & Tamari chicken breast.

Why Tamari? Gluten free and so very similar to soy sauce (it's just the wheat free version of it). Even if you are fine with gluten I think it's a good idea to minimise your gluten consumption. What does gluten do? Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye and barley. Put simply people who cant assimilate gluten in their gut properly should avoid it as it can be fatal, this is called Celiac Disease. To learn more about Celiac Disease go here.
If you ever feel gassy, bloated or sick after consuming gluten based products, head to a Naturopath and consult for options.

Ingredients:

Packet of chicken breast, chopped into large chunks(500g)
Tamari 1/4 cup
tbsp chilli flakes

In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Next, heat your grill up to high. I love using a griddle pan, that is all.
Cook chicken through (should take about 4-5mins per side depending on size of chunks).

I use this a lot for a snack before a workout, add some quinoa or brown rice for the carb value and to provide energy. It's also great as a lunch or dinner option as it can be made in advance and stored in the fridge. Serve it with a big, leafy green salad.

What's your favourite chicken dish at the moment?
