Blues singer and harp player was, like so many of his Chicago blues peers, born in the South--in Indianola, Mississippi in 1934--and moved to Chicago in the 1950s. As a boy, he was raised on the Woodburn Plantation where B.B. King also grew up. He played around town since the early '50's and recorded an album, Bad Reputation, in 1989 for Blues King Records. Since coming out of semi-retirement, he has cut at least three CDs, Blues Across America - The Chicago Scene, Live in Chicago, and Singing in the Sun. He died in August 2008.
