FAQ's

The Women's International Squash Player's Association was founded in 1983. The rationale then was to unite talented players from around the world, co-ordinate and expand their opportunities to compete.

With the administration in place, in recent years the goals for WISPA have altered and expanded. They now include, but are not limited to:

Developing the WISPA World Tour to enable an increasing number of players to consider a career in professional squash economically viable.
To produce and publish regular world rankings.
To increase exposure for women's squash.
To encourage a professional attitude from members.
To raise administrative standards at events and to increase the level of support and advice offered to promoters.
To improve communication and relationship with bodies involved with the sport
(e.g. World, Regional and National Federations, promoters, the men's playing body and the press).
To improve services to members.
Although greater prize money and more events are the short term desires of members and WISPA itself, the body as a whole is looking to improve its marketing, administration and relationships as well.
WISPA is the unified voice of professional squash players from around the world.
