Travel stipends will be awarded to a limited number of students, post-docs* and student minorities. All awardees will present their work in either oral or poster format. Persons interested in applying for travel awards are required to submit their award application along with a CV and an abstract of their current research. * A post-doc is someone with the
terminal degree (typically the PhD)
who is studying and performing
research temporarily in a research
environment to obtain additional
credentials necessary for a
permanent job. Typically a post-doc
should be within eight years of
receiving his or her degree (should
not be considered a tenure-track
faculty) and would be earning less
than $60,000 annually.
