Statistics: Expenditure charts for 2007-2013
You can now find the expenditure (actual or planned, depending on the year) for each year of FP7 and each theme. You can see the change in expenditure for a given theme over the years and also compare the expenditure by theme for a given year. In addition, each chart links to a page describing the research area concerned. For the Capacities programme you can "drill down" to charts for each area of the programme by year and each year by area.

In case you haven't already seen them, there are also three country profile maps in the statistics section of the site showing success stories per country, numbers of participants and EU financial contribution.

In this minisite you will find over 100 ERA-NET projects (with fact sheets and publishable summaries where available) which can be selected by keyword/domain and framework programme (FP6 and FP7), as well as the testimonials of several key people involved in ERA-NET.

Participant Portal

The Participant Portal will become your single entry point of interaction with the Research Directorates-General of the European Commission. It will host a full range of services that facilitate the monitoring and the management of your proposals and projects throughout their lifecycle.

What does it offer today?

• You can register your organisation's data in the Unique Registration Facility (URF), avoiding redundant requests for information;
  
  
• After registration you will receive a Participant Identification Code (PIC) that uniquely identifies your organisation.You can use it to maintain your organisation's details and monitor its status in the processes of electronic proposal submission and negotiation;
  
  
• You can also check whether your organisation has already registered and if so, retrieve the PIC that has already been assigned;
  
  
• The appointed representative of your organisation, called the LEAR (Legal Entity Appointed Representative) can provide and update relevant legal & financial data via the portal.

This practical funding guide was conceived in order to help potential beneficiaries of our programmes find their way through the three funding instruments – Cohesion policy which is funded through the Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund; the Research Framework Programme and the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme – and identify the most appropriate funding scheme for them. It provides a concise description of the three funding sources, explains how they can in practice be combined and provides policy makers with advice on setting up mechanisms at the national and regional levels to foster co-ordinated access to them.

FP7 - preparation of work programmes

The calls for proposals under FP7 will be set out in annual work programmes which will provide details about the topics, timings and implementation. The Commission is drawing on a wide range of inputs and advice for the preparations of these work programmes (see also the ERC site for the “Ideas” work programme):
European Technology Platforms: the “Cooperation” work programme will contribute to the implementation of the Strategic Research Agendas where these represent genuine European added value. Further information is available at the European Technology Platforms site.
Advisory Groups: a series of Advisory Groups have been established by the Commission in order to receive high-level, independent and pluralistic advice.
