Cashing thrashing
Pati, Patni and ten thousand
HYDERABAD, September 24, DHNS:

Alcoholic men in Andhra Pradesh who batter their wives may soon find tables turned on them.

If a proposal of State Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh becomes operational, women who beat their abusive husbands will get a reward from the government.

Venkatesh, an industrialist, is proactive against alcoholism. He offers incentives for employees in his industrial units and sacks those who drink.

“Beat your drunken husband if he touches you. The government will pay you a
Rs 1,000 reward. The more you beat him the better as you can get up to Rs 10, 000,” he told a gathering of women, Mahila Sadassu, a government programme in Kurnool.

The minister urged women to get their drunken, abusive husbands on to the streets and beat them in full view of the public so that it encourages other women, whose men return home after squandering their day’s earnings in toddy shops.

“Once you do this and you get rewarded, your husband will stop harassing you,” Venkatesh told the women of Kurnool.

However, officers in the child and women welfare department say that the novel idea will be difficult to implement.

“First, how to ascertain whether a woman is really beaten by husband or that she has beaten her abusive husband. What can we do if the couple hatch a plan and cheat the government,” one of them said.

However, the minister is very enthusiastic about the idea. “We can call this as Pati, Patni and Rs 10,000 scheme,” he said.

In democratic India, we are proud of our civilization and culture, we are the followers of well maintained criminal law giving a peace of mind which the minister above is about to break it by allowing the public to take the law in their hands. 1.What will be the image of Indian ladies in the other part of the globe if they start beating their husband in the public? 2.What will happen to that lady if the husband dies by accident while she is executing the “Pati, Patni and Rs 10,000” scheme? 3.What will happen to that lady if the husband lodges a criminal complaint against her and approach the court of law to lodge her behind the bars for that criminal offence of beating a person in full public view? 4.Is the minister is willing to take up her case and meet the legal expenses on behalf of her? 5.What is your formula for the ladies those who are habitual drunkards commonly seen in the slum areas? 6.What will happen if the public go ahead with the sideline of the above “pati Patni and Rs 10,000” scheme and started beating the drunkard father by their children and the drunkard neighbour by the neighbour? Dear minister please wakeup and find that there are numerous rehabilitation centers in India to tackle the issues of addiction. If you are really sympathetic to those hapless ladies please setup some more rehabilitation centers in and around your constituency as the God Almighty has blessed you with out of limit wealth.

LOL LOL... Now this one sounds like a plan to eliminate poverty. Husband and Wife must manipulate and start earning by doing nothing but pretending domestic violence / beatings. Men who do not drink must start drinking... New Slogan: Get drunk to activate auto-maintainenance of wife. All hail India.

VERY FUNNY AND RIDICULOUS. THE MORE WORKABLE SOLUTIONS: STOP INCENTIVES, TERMINATE FROM WORK, GET RID OF THE ILLICIT TODDY SHOPS, when drunk found on road put him behind bars for few days. BUT NOT WIFE BEATING HUSBAND, WOMEN ARE BIOLOGICALLY WEAKER, CAN NOT PUT UP FIGHT AND BEAT THEIR MAN!
