The Bachmann for President campaign announced today receiving the endorsement of Iowa State Senator Mark Chelgren.

“We are thrilled to have Senator Chelgren joining our rapidly growing Iowa team.” Bachmann said. “Mark brings a spirit of ingenuity and vigor to our campaign and he’s never afraid to stand up for the common-sense principals that made our country so great.”

Senator Chelgren and his wife Janet are parents to four children and own several successful businesses in the Ottumwa area.

“Michele is strong voice and a strict constitutionalist,” said Sen. Chelgren. “Of all of the candidates in the 2012 race, I believe Michele best reflects my conservative values and will firmly stand to promote and defend those values.”
