Two new Indian restaurants in Cairo
To truly feel you are in a new and impressive ambiance and just to try something new, both recently opened restaurants will do the trick
Ahram Online, Sunday 4 Dec 2011
Indian is the flavour of the day with two new restaurants opening last month in Cairo!
Raj
The Fairmont Heliopolis & Towers on the airport road, as usual, offers a classy experience. The décor in their newest addition, Raj, is rather imperceptible, since the Fairmont's impressive, large, sleek lobby steals all of the attention. This is precisely what makes a night out at any one of the restaurants in the Fairmont Heliopolis lobby a unique experience.
The chef, Arvinth Elangovan, and his team are viewable from your seat through a wall-to-wall glass window. Anything with a coconut sauce is good here!

Asha's
Another new restaurant, Asha’s, is on the Corniche in Giza, on the other side and a bit past the TGI Friday's boat. Although tasty and they pay special attention to perfection - maintaining temperature, not overcooking, crispiness when fried, etc. - it is still outshone by its Asian-food neighbour, which is getting rave reviews.

Both restaurants are on the rather expensive side.
Ahram Online will offer a more in-depth review of Chop Chop, the new, mixed Asian restaurant next to Asha's - it is surely worth it!
