K. Kellie Leitch is a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto and is Chair of the Ivey Centre for Health Innovation and Leadership at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. Leitch served as Chair of the Expert Panel for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit in 2006. In 2008, Leitch authored the report, Reaching for the Top: A Report by the Advisor on Healthy Children & Youth, as the Canadian Federal Advisor on Healthy Children and Youth. She was appointed to the Order of Ontario in 2009, and was selected as one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 in 2005. She has a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Toronto, an MBA from Dalhousie University, completed the Orthopaedic Surgery Program in 2001 at the University of Toronto, and became a Fellow of Clinical Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles/University of Southern California in 2002.
