We’re now looking for a Programme Support Administrator to join our IT division working out of our Media Village, West London.

Role

Focus will be on maintaining programme/project risk and issue logs and ensuring these have appropriate senior management visibility and are acted upon, along with monitoring project dependencies and assisting Programme and Project Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans.

Additionally you'll assume responsibility for:

  • Ensuring that Programme Board and Steering Group meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes for Futureworks meetings and distributing the minutes thereafter.
  • Monitoring project dependencies and proactively highlighting the status of impending dependencies, flagging any potential issues.
  • Assisting Programme and Project Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans and their control and governance
  • Advising and assisting project team members in the application of project procedures, disciplines and recording and reporting standards 

Requirements

You’ll have substantial experience of working within a dedicated Programme Office function within a diverse technology organisation comprising multiple programmes and projects across a broad spectrum of business and technical needs along with a strong understanding of programme and project planning, estimating and budgeting.

Additionally you'll demonstrate:

  • Strong financial awareness and experience of working with budgets
  • Experience of working with others in a matrix structure, holding others to account to deliver high quality outputs on time, on budget and in line with requirements
  • Experience of building and sustaining productive relationships across multifunctional technology and business teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a good understanding of BBC Worldwide’s business, its aims and objectives and to keep these in mind when undertaking own accountabilities
  • Qualifications in project/programme management e.g. PRINCE2, MSP or APM would be beneficial
