Large Description Title
Background and Business Description

NGOs, Cooperatives, and People’s Organizations set up livelihood programs to help their beneficiaries earn additional income. In most cases however, these organizations lack the human, technical, and financial resources to run a successful livelihood program. In addition, livelihood products are difficult to market due to poor quality and unreliable production capacity.

Gifts and Graces Fair Trade Foundation recognized these challenges and seeks to assist these groups with business solutions.  They specifically provide assistance with product development and market access while at the same time building the capabilities within these groups. Organized in 2006, Gifts and Graces has since grown in terms of number of partner communities, clients, and sales.

To help build the capabilities of its partners, Gifts and Graces has partnered with institutions such as the UP Department of Industrial Engineering and the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. Volunteers also help with Partners  Conferences and other activities. Recently Gifts and Graces hosted an intern from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California as well as a young professional through the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD).

In order to grow, Gifts and Graces will need funding to improve its facilities, automate its accounting and other processes, as well as step up marketing, product development, and capability building.
