For over thirty years, our customers have relied on RadioShack as a source for both batteries and battery information. Previously, battery information was provided either in response to a customer's specific request or through the Enercell® Battery Guidebook. The guidebook was originally published in 1985, and the second edition was released in 1990. While it was an excellent reference for both general and technical questions about our battery line, as battery technology increased over the next decade and new battery types were developed, the guidebook eventually became out-dated and was discontinued.
With the guidebook discontinued, the only option for information on RadioShack batteries was for customers to contact our support staff... and they did so! From inventors to hobbyists to students, we have had a steady flow of requests for battery information. In order to make this information more easily available, we created our On-line Battery Guide.
The On-line Battery Guide is divided into two sections. General Battery Information contains general information on battery history, selection and usage. Technical Information section contains specific technical information on individual battery types and links to information on specific RadioShack batteries. |
