2010 Grantmaking
In 2010, the Foundation distributed approximately $100 million in grants. Since inception, we have awarded nearly $940 million in grants.
Following selection by an independent international jury, the annual $1.5 million Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize is awarded to a nonprofit organization doing extraordinary work to alleviate human suffering.
Conrad N. Hilton, founder of Hilton Hotels, left his fortune to the Foundation. In his last will and testament, he charged us to relieve the suffering of the distressed and the destitute.
