GREAT Labor Day Weekend: 80 miles of Yellowstone Lakeshore in a sea kayak with a good bud. Sedge Bay to the bottom of the Southeast Arm on Friday. I spent the summer of '84 down there as a backcountry boat ranger.  Around the promontory to the bottom of the South Arm on Saturday.  Out of there and to the bottom of Flat Mountain Arm and back to the main body of the Lake Sunday.  Out to Grant Village Monday.  Bliss...  Photos are online at

The mighty Lamar River reached a new high last week and took out part of the road to Cooke City.  The road is still closed this morning.

Had a great, but wet, day skiing Sylvan Pass on Saturday.  Didn't get the normal jaw-dropping views but had a great time with good friends.  LOTS of snow out there peeps!
