Emerging Clues of the Lost Colony
The expert archaeological team of Time Team America undertook a 3-day intensive search and excavation to locate the remains of the first English colony in America. What they discovered opens up some very exciting possibilities.

Using the latest techniques and technology, the crew of Time Team America conducted an intensive investigation of a site on Roanoke Island, North Carolina, site of the first attempt at colonization by the English in the late 16th Century. The settlement is popularly known as the "Lost Colony" because the colonists mysteriously disappeared before accomplishing a permanent foothold in the Americas. Research and excavation on the island have yet to determine definitively where the colonists were precisely located before they disappeared. This investigation, as documented through this video, achieved solid results with tangible clues about the colonists' sojourn there and where they actually may have been located.
