Headline:

Mild and wet in south, colder with showers in north.

This Evening and Tonight:

Wales, the Midlands, and southern England will have a mild and cloudy night with outbreaks of rain, sometimes heavy. Northern areas will be chilly with wintry showers in Northern Ireland and Scotland, with snow on western hills. Icy later.

Thursday:

Rain in southern and eastern England, often heavy, clearing in the morning. Bright and mostly dry in central areas. Further wintry showers in the north with snow on Scottish hills.
