You can't rain on my parade! Kristin Cavallari puts her pregnant glow on show after announcing surprise baby news

There may be no sign of a baby bump, but Kristin Cavallari is certainly sporting the pregnancy glow.

The 25-year-old was radiant as she stepped out for a spot of lunch in Los Angeles today, her first public outing since announcing she was expecting with fiance Jay Cutler yesterday.

Braving the rain, the smiling reality star was helped across the road by a friendly restaurant worker who held up an umbrella for her.

Wearing a short black shirtdress it is hard to believe that the tiny star is expecting, however she is in the early stages.

She paired the stylish look with some warm black tights and black ankle boots.

With barely any make-up on her complexion, Kristin is clearly benefiting from the pregnancy glow.

And it was no different over the weekend when she stepped out to do a spot of grocery shopping at Erewhon Natural Food Market in West Hollywood.

As the reality star was braving the rain her beau took to Twitter to thank fans, and to set the record straight.

He posted: 'Thanks for all the tweets. We couldn't be more excited. We don't usually comment on our relationship but for the record I never broke up with Kristin. Its unfortunate some people are saying hurtful things during such a joyous moment in our life.'

Kristin's outing came just one day before she announced her pregnancy news to the world and she was seen out and about.

In a pair of indigo skinny jeans, a billowing beige shirt and nude heels, the former Dancing With The Stars contestant looked stunning.

Source tells Us Weekly that the former Hills star is thrilled about becoming a mother.

'She is really happy. She is in the early stages, but she can't wait to be a mom,' an insider told Us Weekly.

Despite a rough period in her relationship with the NFL player, which saw Jay briefly breaking off their engagement, friends say that the couple are a match made in heaven.

'(Jay) absolutely adores her, he worships the ground she walks on and she is so in love with him,' the source added. 'This is a real match, they are made for one another. Everyone is so happy that they are going to have a baby together. She's going to be a great mom.'

Apparently the couple have known about the pregnancy for some weeks but have kept it underwraps.

Kristin and Jay confirmed their happy news yesterday.

According to People magazine the couple said: ‘We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together. It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family.’

A source close to the couple confirmed the news to MailOnline.

The betrothed couple made their first public outing since getting back together at Friday night's Cirque Du Soleil show in Santa Monica.

Kristin looked stunning in a knee-length sequin embellished dress which boasted sheer paneling around the neckline.

While the happy couple posed up together on the red carpet the Chicago Bears star was also seen stepping back, letting his lady take the limelight.

The former reality star appeared to enjoy the performance and tweeted: ‘Ovo was amazing!!! The performances were insane!!’

The couple's first public outing together comes after the couple reunited last month.

Kristin confirmed her engagement to Cutler was back on in December and was said to be delighted.

The sports star first proposed in April 2011 and Kristin had busied herself planning for a summer 2012 wedding.

But the couple split shortly after their engagement party in July last year before getting back together.
