WorldCat Link Manager

OCLC is no longer accepting new subscriptions to the WorldCat Link Manager Service.

OCLC support for OpenURL resolution and related electronic resource management needs will continue through the following services:

Available now

OpenURL resolution functionality is included in the WorldCat Local service to help information seekers more quickly and easily link to library resources from search results. Inbound and outbound resolution is available now and upcoming enhancements will provide access to an A to Z list and an article finder tool. With the addition of OpenURL resolution functionality into WorldCat Local, staff can save time by maintaining all of their libraries' holdings information in a single location. This enables consolidation of identification and access to library resources within a single interface.

OpenURL resolution is included in existing WorldCat Local subscriptions at no additional charge.

Coming soon

OCLC will soon release a new License Manager service. The new service will help library staff manage the many workflows related to electronic content in a single place.

License Manager will provide digital license storage, workflow improvements and license metadata management, in addition to integrated link resolution and A to Z lists for electronic and print journals. A globally-maintained vendor information center will give library staff a single location for information about the many vendors from whom they purchase content. A citation finder and Web services for use in subject guides and course pages are also planned.

Support through December 31, 2011

Documentation for current users of WorldCat Link Manager will remain available on this site until December 31, 2011, when access to the service ends.
