Divya Spandana the numero uno actress of Kannada cinema who is hardly seen in Tamil is rumoured to be the heroine of Vada Chennai.
Vetrimaran directed Vada Chennai has Silambarasan in the lead. Divya who has worked with Vetri earlier in Pollathavan is said to have a meaty role in the film.
The cast also has Rana Daggubati and Andrea Jeremiah in pivotal roles. The technical team has Vetrimaran's favourite musician GV Prakash and Velraj as cinematographer.
When contacted, Divya has confirmed that she has been approached but says that she has not given a green signal.
She claims that the talks are on but nothing has been finalised yet.
