Ensa Machine Bouw was founded in 1997 and soon after they started with making parts and machines for the cigar industry. Ensa choose to specialise in cigar making machinery and thereby they choose a niche within a niche market. The choice for cigar machinery was made because there were still many problems with these machines and they also offered many opportunities for improvement.

Since the beginning Ensa has also been working for the pharmaceutical and printing industry. This because this industry recognised the quality Ensa has to offer and liked their problem solving capacities. However throughout the years the emphasis has been on cigar machinery.

Within these years Ensa Machine Bouw b.v. has expanded to about 32 employees. Many of these employees have been working for the cigar industry for a very long time and with their hands on experience many problems are solved. Due to their experience Ensa is able to support customers in many different areas.

Ensa Machine Bouw is specialised in the overhauling, developing and optimisation of cigar making machinery and their spare parts (90%). Within the pharmaceutical and printing industry Ensa realizes the last 10% of their turnover.

At the moment Ensa Machine Bouw has its customers mainly throughout Europe and is expanding to America.

Since 2002 Ensa is the main-supplier of cigar overrolling machines due to knowledge, quality and flexibility.

Spare parts are delivered around the globe to support cigar machines world wide. The last few years Ensa is widening their program to other cigar related machinery and parts for bunchmaking, cutting and packing.

Because Ensa has many contacts within the industry they are also working as a intermediate between companies in search of new and extra machinery.

Another part of their business is giving support, training and advice in regard to cigar making. Explanation of new machinery, tobacco and methods/procedures which have to be followed while adjusting the machines are explained to both new and existing personnel thus creating a higher output and a more efficient use of the machinery.
