Here are a contemporary glass square home design, a farmhouse with glazing wall by olson kundig architects. A small house designed with elegance style. A glazing wall make this house looks luxurious. Located in northeastern Oregon, this small house is conceived as a contemporary glass box that floats over the wheat fields around. Facing south towards the distant mountains, the house is well adapted to cold, snowy winters and hot dry summers. In winter, the orientation takes advantage of passive solar heat gain of the low winter sun angle in summer, projections of a roof rack and block the high summer sunshine to get hot. Large glass windows operable high cooling efficiency of cross ventilation, reducing the need for home air-conditioning.
