HE'S B-A-A-A-C-K!

Carmino Ravosa, Dalton's Composer in Residence throughout the eighties and nineties, is back at the First Program once again enthusiastically singing with children across a range of grade levels. In a series of visits, Carmino has been introducing the children to material from his extensive repertoire, which includes songs that celebrate Dalton school spirit, building friendship and community and celebrating holiday traditions.

Special collaborations are planned in all third grade Houses throughout the winter and spring months. He will be working on projects that include many of the Carmino "standards", as well as connections to the language arts and social studies curriculum.

How lucky we are to have coaxed him out of retirement to embrace this new generation of Dalton children as his recent work with our kindergarten students highlights in the accompanying photos and short video! (click here).
