TNA News Hardy News: Jeff Hardy sentenced to jail stemming from September 2009 arrest

TNA wrestler Jeff Hardy, who returns to TV on Thursday's Impact episode, was sentenced to ten days in jail, over two years of probation, and charged $100,000 by a North Carolina judge Thursday.
According to the Fayetteville Observer newspaper, Hardy's attorney arranged a plea agreement to keep Hardy out of prison. Part of the agreement was Hardy pleading guilty to two felonies - possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of conspiracy to traffic.
Also, Hardy must remain in a drug abuse treatment program. There is no word yet on when Hardy will serve his jail sentence.
Hardy's sentence stems from his arrest nearly exactly two years ago on September 11, 2009. Hardy was faced with multiple felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from the arrest and prosecutors agreed to drop the other charges as part of the agreement.
Related to TNA, Hardy was granted a request by Superior Court judge Joseph Turner to allow Hardy to travel outside of North Carolina to continue working for TNA during his probation period.
