  • Congrats

  • Thats awesome, also glad to see orcs must die! won something too, very fun game.
  • Skyrim for Outstanding Achievement in Story? Not hating on it or anything(its awesome btw), but there's not much in story. Would have picked Portal 2. There's some real innovation.
  • Glad to see Orcs Must Die up there. That was a good game.

  • I know I'll probably catch a TON of flak for this, but I thought Skyrim's soundtrack as a whole was far superior to Portal 2 (if this award was for a single piece and not overall soundtrack I apologize in advance for misunderstanding). Just one man's opinion though.
  • Good for them! :)
  • did anyone expect different?
  • I'll say it on here as well. Skyrim is a fantastic game, I love it. However, WHY DOES THE SUN MOVE IN SEVEN SECOND INTERVALS!!!!??? I hate it when I'm in a city during the daytime, and I'm talking to someone or smithing or something. EVERY SEVEN SECONDS THE SUN, ALONG WITH ALL OF THE SHADOWS MOVE A NOTICEABLE DISTANCE IN ABOUT ONE SECOND, AND IT KEEPS REPEATING EVERY SEVEN SECONDS. ALL THE IMMERSION I HAD AQUIRED IS IMMEDIATELY SUCKED AWAY WHEN I SEE THAT. SO ANNOYING!!! I don't remember Oblivion having that problem. Maybe this is just on 360. Is it really that hard to have the sun move at a slow and steady pace? Far Cry 2 did it, GTA4 did it, Oblivion did it. It can't be that difficult. Does this not bother anyone else?

    Edit: I guess not.
  • Skyrim is good, but really overrated IMO.
  • I think I agree with all of those decisions. Congrats to those guys. ^_^

  • Bethesda really knows how to make a great game.
  • Can't really agree with all the Skyrim awards. The story was pretty forgettable and the gameplay was pretty bland. Still a good game, but I think Uncharted 3 and Skyward Sword were both better.
  • Bethesda is deserving of such accolades. Congrats, too, to the other award winners.
  • Kind of expected to see Skyrim take the most isn't it? I'm just shocked Battlefield 3 didn't get anymore than it did. That game is outstanding!
  • how does skyrim win best story there is no emotion in the story its more like playing through lore
  • Skyrim didn't take any arrows to the... aw hell no. *cue grandiose dragon-slaying music* Fus ro dah bitches.
  • "Outstanding Achievment in Story: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" *facepalm*
  • I take it Skylanders Spyro's Adventure is actually decent?
  • I wish Witcher 2 got more love. Sadly there was no chance in Skyrim vs. Witcher 2 duel for W2.
  • As a TES lover and Bethesda supporter I'm glad; that said I think the "Outstanding Achievement in Story" for Skyrim is kinda forced, I mean there are better narratives out there. That said, I do think Skyrim or Bastion should have gotten the best "Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition", rather than Portal 2. The list as a whole is actually pretty solid, and I'm glad Portal 2 and UC3 did well.
