Greater Arizona eLearning Association

GAZeL – A High Tech Industry Cluster

GAZeL, the Greater Arizona eLearning Association is an Arizona statewide High-Tech Industry Cluster Organization. We are an alliance of eLearning providers, entrepreneurs, educators, eLearning practitioners, and consumers of eLearning technology and services.

We see GAZeL as the primary catalyst to position Arizona as a world leader in creating and adopting eLearning technologies and services. GAZeL will support Arizona eLearning enterprises in becoming world-wide industry leaders, and promote the adoption of eLearning as a viable and pervasive tool for commercial and public sector organizations, and educational institutions to more effectively operate and compete in local and global marketplaces.

 More About Gazel

Arizona, a Leader in the eLearning Industry

Arizona, home to many of the world's leading eLearning companies, is a leader in the eLearning industry. It is estimated that eLearning contributes over $3 billion annually to the state's economy.

Arizona companies develop and provide a broad spectrum of technologies and services from content and learning management systems to online education and training programs, simulations, web casting, web conferencing, consulting, eLearning research, and more.

An Arizona Priority

In 1999 eLearning was one of only five topic areas addressed by the Arizona Partnership for the New Economy (APNE). APNE was formed by the Governor to position Arizona as a leader in the new economy. Their recommendation: eLearning becomes pervasive in all segments of Arizona society as a tool for teaching, learning, and conducting business at an internationally competitive level. As a result, eLearning helps Arizona residents and companies become, and remain, internationally competitive.
